Building Manager – High-End Residential Developer
Our client, a premium property development group, is seeking an experienced and hands-on Building Manager with strong trade foundations and demonstrated project delivery capability.
This role is ideal for a practical operator who enjoys being on site, working closely with trades, and taking ownership of projects from initiation through to completion — ensuring exceptional quality outcomes.
You will oversee day-to-day works across the developer’s portfolio and active projects, blending minor hands-on trade tasks with contractor coordination, quality assurance, defect management and project oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform minor trade works including plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting and installations
- Coordinate, supervise and manage external contractors and builders
- Conduct routine site inspections, defect walks and quality assessments
- Assist with project programming, procurement and delivery planning
- Manage defect rectification, settlements and Strata Bond requirements
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme and within budget
- Support project administration including reporting, claims and variations
About You
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a site-based building management or facilities management role
- Strong understanding of construction standards, quality control and defect management
- Confident managing multiple trades, contractors and stakeholders
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-driven, accountable and delivery-focused
