A high end property development client of ours is currently seeking a hands-on Building Manager with strong trade-based experience and proven project delivery skills. This role suits someone who enjoys being on site managing buildings and trades and driving projects through to completion achieving a high standard.

You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of works across the clients’ properties and active projects, combining minor hands-on trade work with project coordination, quality control, defect management, and contractor oversight.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out minor trade works (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, installations)
• Coordinate and manage external contractors and builders
• Conduct site inspections, defect walks, and quality reviews
• Assist with project programming, procurement, and delivery strategy
• Oversee defect close-out, settlements, and Strata Bond requirements
• Ensure safety, quality, programme, and budget targets are met
• Support project reporting, claims, and variations

About You

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a site-based, building management or facilities management role
• Strong understanding of construction quality and defect management
• Comfortable managing multiple stakeholders and contractors
• Competent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint)
• Excellent communication skills
• Detail-oriented, reliable, and delivery focused
