Contract Manager – Remedial Construction
Location: Sydney
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $150,000 – $200,000 + Super
Our client, one of Sydney’s most respected remedial construction specialists, is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to join their team. This position is ideal for a driven construction professional who has developed strong contractual, project coordination and stakeholder management skills within the remedial sector.
About the Role
As the Contract Manager, you will oversee the commercial and contractual aspects of multiple remedial projects—from minor structural repairs to complex façade, waterproofing and compliance upgrades.
What We’re Looking For
- 3–5 years’ experience as a Contract Manager or Senior Contract Administrator
- Minimum 5 years’ local Australian construction experience
- Strong remedial construction experience (commercial new build experience also highly regarded)
- Solid understanding of construction contracts, variations, procurement and cost control
- Excellent capability in negotiating, preparing and managing subcontract agreements
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- High attention to detail, commercial acumen and a proactive approach to resolving issues
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all contractual and commercial aspects of remedial projects
- Prepare, review and negotiate subcontractor agreements
- Oversee procurement, tendering and cost management processes
- Track budgets, variations, claims and financial reporting
- Work closely with project managers to ensure compliance, quality and timely delivery
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors
- Provide accurate documentation and assist with project forecasting and overall commercial strategy
