About Us: On behalf of our client, a well-established builder specialising in residential projects, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Development Manager. Our client is embarking on an exciting journey to form a dedicated development arm, and they are looking for a seasoned professional to lead this new venture.
Role Overview: As the Development Manager, you will be at the forefront of our client’s development efforts. You will be responsible for identifying and securing development opportunities, managing the entire project lifecycle from feasibility to completion, and ensuring the maximum value and return on investments. This senior role demands a proactive individual capable of handling everything from site acquisition to project governance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Site Acquisition & Feasibility: Identify and secure sites that meet our client’s return and risk requirements. Prepare detailed site and market analyses, and develop comprehensive feasibility studies.
- Project Management: Oversee all aspects of project development, including design coordination, stakeholder management, and collaboration with the construction team. Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Funding & Legal Coordination: Manage project financing, legal matters, and authority approvals, ensuring compliance and governance.
- Sales & Marketing: Develop and execute comprehensive sales and marketing strategies. Coordinate the preparation of marketing materials and manage the sales process.
- Project Completion & Handover: Lead the settlement process, oversee the defect process, and ensure purchaser satisfaction.
- Team Leadership: Foster a collaborative team culture, provide mentorship, and drive professional development within the team.
What We’re Looking For:
- Extensive experience in property development, particularly in residential projects in Sydney.
- A deep network within the property development industry, including architects, consultants, and real estate agents.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on outcomes, strategic thinking, and effective communication.
- Proven track record of managing projects from inception to completion with a focus on maximising value and shareholder return.
- Ability to work closely with construction teams, ensuring seamless integration of design and construction planning.
- Highly organised, analytical, and professional with a strong work ethic and integrity.
