The company have been in business for many years and currently turn over $200m plus. They build from start to finish, ensuring optimum consistency, cost efficiency and quality of finishes on every project they take on. This builder works across a range of industries from aged care, health, education to retail, industrial and multi-residential. Typically, projects range from $20m -$80m and they have an array of strong blue-chip clients. They are renowned for possessing a superior level of expertise and experience in the industry and winning awards for building excellence.
  
WHAT’S ON OFFER
Our client is looking for a General Foreman / 2ic to oversee one of their projects which is about to start. This is an excellent opportunity for a General Foreman looking to progress into a Site Manager role after this project. No better time to join this business and work with some strong people at the top of their game.
  
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Programming and co-ordination of sub-contractors, suppliers, and materials deliveries
  • Developing and building strong rapport with site teams, internal and external stakeholders
  • Liaison with client ensuring successful delivery of project to schedule
  • Management of the construction program along with the Project Manager and Construction Manager
  • Liaison with the commercial team to identify variations and claims
  • Managing OHS compliance on site including site inductions

KEY REQUIREMENTS  

  • Trade qualification as a Carpenter
  • Minimum 5yrs local experience as a General Foreman delivering complex new build projects
  • Good man-management skills with the ability to motivate and drive direct & sub-contract labour 
  • Highly skilled in OH&S
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to solve problems and manage conflict effectively
  • A commitment to quality and an eye for detail
