Mechanical Maintenance Fitters – Shift Work & Shutdowns

Job Description

We are seeking experienced Mechanical Maintenance Fitters for ongoing shift cover work across major Food & Beverage manufacturing sites across Sydney, along with short-term shutdowns across Sydney.

These roles offer a mix of consistent shift work and high-earning shutdown opportunities (typically 1–2 weeks per shutdown) across a variety of industrial sites.
Immediate starts available. Multiple positions open.

Pay Rates (Including Shift Loadings)

• Day Shift: $52.00 per hour
• Afternoon Shift (+15%): $59.80 per hour
• Night Shift (+30%): $67.60 per hour
• Overtime rates paid
• $22 per day travel allowance

The Role

• Mechanical maintenance and breakdown support on production lines
• Shift cover across afternoon and night shifts
• Fault finding, repairs and preventative maintenance
• Shutdown work across multiple Sydney sites (1–2 weeks per project)
• Working within live manufacturing and industrial environments
• Following site safety and hygiene procedures

Shifts & Rosters

• Afternoon and night shifts
• Rotating rosters between shifts
• Ongoing work with consistent hours
• Shutdown opportunities offered alongside core shifts

Requirements

• Cert III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Fitter) – Mandatory
• White Card required
• Industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience preferred
• Strong mechanical fault-finding ability
• Own tools and reliable transport required
