We are recruiting on behalf of our client – a highly respected builder with a proven track record delivering complex and high-value commercial projects across Sydney and greater NSW. They are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a background in fit-out, heavy refurbishment, and structural works to join their growing team.
About the Role:
This is a pivotal position suited to a seasoned Project Manager who can take ownership of large-scale, logistically complex projects valued at $10 million and above. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in refurbishments involving significant structural modifications, with an ability to manage live environments and work across a diverse portfolio. New build experience will be highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full project lifecycle management from pre-construction through to delivery and handover
- Liaising with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure program, cost, and quality targets are achieved
- Coordinating trades and site teams, ensuring safety and compliance
- Managing variations, reporting, procurement, and stakeholder communication
- Leading on-site and remote meetings to keep projects moving efficiently
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience delivering fit-out and heavy refurbishment projects, particularly in live or operational environments
- Structural refurbishment experience is essential
- Demonstrated ability to successfully deliver projects valued at $10M+
- Exposure to new builds is advantageous but not essential
- Strong leadership, client-facing communication, and problem-solving skills
- A solid understanding of local codes, safety regulations, and contract administration
