This is a unique opportunity to work for a Principal Contractor with a large pipeline of work. The company have been in business for 40yrs and are the benchmark for a quality finished product in the large residential space. Typically, projects are large in size from $50m – $200m and have $1.3b in secured work on their books. Their dedication to safety ensures that all employees, subcontractors and partners can work confidently on-site, knowing that their well-being is a top priority.
WHAT’S ON OFFER
We are looking for a seasoned Safety Officer to work on a $100m+ multi-unit residential project. The candidate must come from a suitable Tier 2 or Tier 3 builder and have a strong safety background in new build delivery for a principal contractor. This builder takes a lot of pride with their safety systems and doing things in the correct and safe way.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WOULD INCLUDE
- Conduct site inductions
- Review and monitor contractors SWMS
- Oversee general site safety
- Lead site safety meetings
- Analysing site practice and implementation of improved practices
- Report and investigate incidents, injuries and hazards and implement agreed control measures
- Help promote WHS&E awareness on site
- Ensure compliance with the all Site Management Plans
- Maintain all WHS&E records for the project
- Work with contractors and site teams to eliminate and reduce workplace risks
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Cert IV in Work Health and Safety or equivalent Tertiary Qualification
- Sound understanding of WHS&E Legislation and Regulations
- Must have a minimum 2-3yrs experience as a Safety Officer working for reputable Tier 2 or Tier 3 builder or even a large subcontractor
- We will only consider candidates with LOCAL EXPERIENCE
- Previous knowledge using the Hammertech System or Procore System would be advantageous
