WHAT’S ON OFFER
Our client has a number of ECI project opportunities $150m+ for a Senior Design Manager in and around Sydney. You will initially be involved in the front-end stage of a project and then eventually move to site to work on live projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Value engineering / management and project management of the whole design process
- Managing relationships with consultants / architects and the performance of external consultants
- Co-ordinate design activities to ensure the achievement of quality, completion and design budget objectives
- Manage the process of milestone design reviews including ensuring that client sign-off is achieved and recorded at appropriate stages
- Liaising with clients to develop design briefs in accordance with cost plans
- Managing design in accordance with cost plans and construction programmes and monitor the quality throughout construction process
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Construction Management Degree or a Degree in Architecture
- 5-8yrs experience as Design Manager with a Principal Contractor
- Worked on complex large commercial government projects
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Computer literacy and experience with reporting systems
- Sound leadership skills and solid problem-solving abilities
- An energetic and dynamic approach to Construction
- Sound knowledge of OH&S and IR matters
