Street Sweepers – Mardi Gras Special Event (Night Shift)

Job Description

We are recruiting 28 Street Sweepers to support Mardi Gras special event clean-up operations. This is a well-paid night shift role based out of Bay St Depot, Ultimo, ideal for workers who are physically fit and ready for hands-on work.

Shift Details

• Start: 7:00pm
• Finish: Between 4:00am – 8:00am (depending on workload)
• Pay: $65 per hour + super
• Meeting point: Bay St Depot – 10-16 Bay St, Ultimo
• On-site parking available

A Subway sandwich and drink will be provided during the shift.

The Role

• Street sweeping and event clean-up
• Shovelling and shifting large volumes of waste
• Supporting cleansing and waste teams during a major event
• Working overnight in a fast-paced team environment

This is physical labour and suited to candidates comfortable working long night shifts.

Requirements

• Must wear steel cap boots
• Must wear reflective high-vis clothing (night work)
• Physically fit and reliable
• Able to complete online inductions prior to the shift
• Event Site Induction
• Cleansing & Waste Event Induction
• Labouring, demolition or waste experience highly regarded
